“Making an imaging map necessary for the contents of the cervix”

The general objective of the project is to increase the research-development-innovation capacity of SC Cattus SRL through the design, creation and development of a cervical injury recognition software that includes artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms for enclosing data and images that can be viewed, compared, evaluated and archived in the microscopy system and thus provides accurate data necessary for diagnosing on the basis of 3D images of malignant and premalignant cervix lesions, and to guide doctors in choosing the best solution of conisation in patient treatment. Thus, the general objective of the project is in line with the specific objective of Priority Axis 2 of the Competitiveness Operational Programme – Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for a competitive digital economy. The overall objective of the COP is "to contribute to the overall objective of the Partnership Agreement by supporting RDI and ICT for competitiveness and development. The PEC proposes solutions to the needs and challenges related to the low level of economic competitiveness at national level, in particular as regards (a) insufficient support for RDI and (b) infrastructure underdeveloped by ICT and thus poorly developed services. Thus, the project’s objectives are in line with the general objective of the COP (specific objectives 2 and 3) and the project will contribute to the achievement of the overall objective of the COP. Objectives 2 and 3 of this project will contribute directly to the Specific Objective (OS2) of the National Research and Development Strategy, namely to Support Smart Specialisation, by concentrating resources in areas of economic relevance and R & I with proven R & D potential. At European level, objectives 2 and 3 of the project are in line with priority 1 of the EU Cohesion Policy, namely: P1. Strengthening research, technological development and innovation. Within the project will work academic, doctors, with a role in research development and educational process, the project thus contributing to the cross-cutting specific objective of the National Research and Development Strategy, namely OS5: Achieve the critical mass of researchers needed to transform RDI into a growth factor by 2020 by ensuring rapid and sustainable, numerical and qualitative development of human resources in research, development and innovation. In order to achieve these objectives, the management of SC Cattus SRL declares its full availability and is committed to providing the necessary resources, including those for internal training necessary to support the project and to promote the application and its integration into the market, and to raise awareness of the staff.
