The main objective of the project is industrial research in order to accumulate new knowledge, adopt technologies, and validate the concepts and modules developed within the project in order to develop a product in the socio-medical field, with innovative components and provide new services to the final customers on the Romanian market. At the heart of the innovative idea is the AsiSoc IT system is a product for the management of social assistance and efficient management of the process of granting them, used by the specialised services of more than 100 municipalities in Romania. We want to develop a platform for integrating the existing system and new software modules with functionalities and capabilities, which will help to streamline and simplify the work of the Social Assistance Directorates’ staff, contribute to reducing bureaucracy and the processing time of specific files, and will allow services to be expanded and management control improved at their level. The improvement and development of existing modules dedicated to aid management and social surveys will be linked to the development of modules that provide functionalities requested by our clients and specific components of a new range of clients, represented by social workers, mothers, Non Governmental Organisations and commercial companies active in the field of social work, or that encourage the phenomenon of active ageing, provide social housing, manage nursing homes or old people’s homes. Industrial research has as its main objective the development of modules designed to encourage active ageing and increase the independence of people with disabilities, assisted or at risk, through the use of technology, and contributes to the creation of friendly and safe conditions and ecosystems for these people. The project contributes to the achievement of the general objective of POC by providing support for local (Indeco Soft) and regional (I-TechTransilvania) R & D R & D research and regional R & D infrastructure development, and by providing new company services, and also responds to country-specific recommendation 7 (SWD(2014) 424 final), supporting efforts to strengthen public administration capacity by improving the efficiency of human resources management, decision-making tools and coordination within the Social Assistance Directorates and between them and other actors in the socio-medical field.
