“Socio-medical incubator, social innovation tool”

OG: Raising the standard of living for people at risk of poverty and social exclusion, from the marginalised community located in the south-west side of Baia Mare, through the provision of specialised integrated services, correlated with individual and family needs and the socio-economic situation of the city, for min. 560 people at risk of poverty and social exclusion. According to the information held by the applicant, in conjunction with the data of other local Baimarian institutions (AJOFM, ISJ, DGASPC, etc.), as well as as a result of validated results from the research questionnaires carried out by the applicant in June-July 2016, a number of 19,025 inhabitants were identified in the intervention area, of which it was estimated that approximately 45 % (approx. 8,562 pers) are people at risk of poverty. Our project addresses through integrated services a number of 560 pers, i.e. about 6.5 % of the population in these areas at risk of poverty and social exclusion. This area overlaps with a census sector identified as marginalised in the Atlas of marginalised urban areas in Romania. As a result of the study and the needs identified in the community, a set of integrated measures will be applied, consisting mainly of: information, counselling (social, psycho-pedagogical, vocational and entrepreneurial), training (initiation, specialisation, qualification), education (after school programs and support for access to education), as well as by providing medical services (hygiene, prophylaxis, family planning, etc.), socio-medical and social services offered through individual and group counseling sessions, as well as measures to improve housing conditions (repairs, isolations, etc., but also legal assistance for persons who need to regulate personal acts, as well as property documents – where such specific needs are identified). In this way, the project partners will achieve the overall objective presented, which contributes to the achievement of the specific objective of the POCU 2014-2020 programme: Reducing the number of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion in marginalised (non-Roma) communities by implementing integrated measures. The proposed target group will have a heterogeneous structure, with people from all social structures of the community: children, adults, elderly people, people capable of working men and women but also people with disabilities, as well as Roma, employed or unemployed persons. We will intervene with the activities and services of our project at household/family level, taking into account its needs, but also the personalised needs of each family member, providing educational, social, employment, socio-medical, medical, medical, legal assistance and improving living conditions. The needs of people in these communities are varied, interdependent, and by providing integrated measures
