Increasing the number of graduates of higher education within the fields of intelligent specialisation of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Horticulture from disadvantaged backgrounds, through active measures (advice, entrepreneurial programs, increasing the professional skills of academics, awarding scholarships, active interaction with social partners in the economic environment). The project will be implemented by the University of Craiova. The target group will comprise the following categories: — 300 high school students (class XI-XII) residing in the S-V Oltenia Region, who will be oriented and advised to pursue the Bachelor’s studies within the fields of intelligent specialisation of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Horticulture – 440 students from fields of intelligent specialisation, with priority from the following fields of license: Economics and international affairs, Management, Marketing, Accounting and Computer Science Management, Finance and Banks, Economic Statistics and Forecasting, Economic Informatics, Horticulture, Landscaping, Agricultural Product Processing Technology, Biology, Engineering and Environmental Protection in Agriculture Minimum 300 students will come from disadvantaged categories (rural environment, non-traditional students, Roma); — 80 academics, with priority from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Horticulture The implementation of the project will bring the following benefits: —increasing the number of people from disadvantaged backgrounds that complete higher education with at least 300 people; —the significant decrease of the number of students who drop out of higher education (we estimate that over 90 % of the target group will complete the higher education due to the support measures provided by the project); development of the entrepreneurial spirit of the students from the target group; —diversification of educational offers through entrepreneurial courses; —increasing teaching skills with applications in entrepreneurship for 80 academics. In the long term the implementation of the project will generate the following benefits: —increasing the relevance of professional training in the university environment by bringing the academic curriculum closer to the requirements of the economic environment; —increasing the number of companies set up by graduates of higher education; —increasing the quality of the university education process.
