Unit 2 RMPD – Apprenticeships and traineeships for NEETs in less developed regions

General objective of the project: Improving the employability of at least 900 unemployed NEETs registered with the Public Employment Service (POS) In the light of the general objective, the project subscribes to the POCU objective of ensuring the sustainable integration of NEETs into the labour market by providing facilities, in the form of financial support, to employers who apply on the basis of apprenticeships or traineeships for unemployed young NEET graduates, in compliance with legal provisions. The project is also part of Priority Axis 2 Improving the situation of NEETs, investment priority: 8.ii Sustainable integration into the labour market of young people, in particular those not in employment, not in education or training, including young people at risk of social exclusion and young people from marginalised communities, including through the implementation of the Youth Guarantee, the specific objective: 2.1 Increasing the employment of unemployed NEETs aged 16-24, registered with the Public Employment Service and residing in eligible regions. At the same time, the project responds to the public policy priorities of the MJS, namely reducing youth unemployment and facilitating their integration into the labour market. By enabling NEETs to benefit from these measures, the project responds to identified challenges in terms of sustainable integration of young people into the labour market and helps to address the low employment rate of young people as well as employers’ reluctance to hire young people.
