Construction of the highway Targu Mures – Ogra – Campia Turzii

The overall objective of this project is to achieve a fast and safe connection between the municipalities of Târgu Mures and Cluj by ensuring the continuity of 2B Campia Turzii – Cluj Napoca Vest (Gilau) motorway section with the sections 2A and 1C, and to relief the traffic congestion from the localities along the motorway. The main objectives of the project (construction of 51,796 km of 2x2 new motorway together with 4.7 km of 2x2 link road to Targu Mures, long – lasting development of transport sector, improving the traffic safety, reducing the environmental impact, reducing the number of accidents on the national road DN15, reducing the transit traffic, reducing the travel time) are in terms with LIOP 2014-2020, Priority Axis no. 1 – “Improving mobility by developing the TEN-T and subway network”, Thematic objective 7, Specific Objective 1.1 – “Increasing mobility on the central TEN-T road network”.
