The general objective is to develop sustainable water and wastewater supply systems in Timis County, in terms of availability, reliability and quality of service, by promoting investments in the environmental sector, in order to comply with the provisions of the European acquis and the commitments made through the environmental sector, in the context of Priority Axis 3 LIOP/Thematic Objective 6ii. The investments promoted for water and wastewater infrastructure in Timis county will lead to the achievement of the objectives of Axis 3 LIOP – “Development of environmental infrastructure in conditions of efficient resource management”, namely: — Thematic objective 6 “Preservation and protection of the environment and promotion of efficient use of resources”, respectively – Specific objective 3.2 “Enhancing the level of collection and treatment of urban waste water, as well as the degree of supply of drinking water to the population” and will ensure compliance with the provisions of the European acquis and the commitments made in the environmental sector. Through the project, the following indicators set out in the LIOP will be achieved by 2023: CO18-379.135 place. CO19-53.685 LE Through these indicators, the project will contribute to the achievement of LIOP results, OS 3.2, as well as to compliance with European directives, as follows: At the level of the Project in 2016, the compliance rate of biodegradable organic load is 82.17 % (429.131 l.e.), through parallel projects whose impact was estimated to be visualised at the level of that year, will reach 89.81 % in 2019 (470.434 l.e.), and the LIOP will reach 99.67 % (524.119 l.e.). Agglomerations of more than 10 000 LE have a compliance rate of the biodegradable organic load of 94.22 % (413.002 l.e.) at 2016 level, through parallel projects, including SOP Environment phased projects, will reach 99.52 % (435.447 l.e.) in 2019 and the LIOP will reach 100 % (436.819 l.e.). Agglomerations between 2,000-10.000 LE have a compliance rate of biodegradable organic load of 19.23 % (16.129 l.e.) in 2016, through parallel projects will reach 40.55 % (34.987 l.e.) in 2019, and the LIOP will reach 98.06 % (87.300 p.e.). At the level of the Project in 2016, the connection rate to water supply systems is 85.38 % (401.598 place.), of which 16.00 % (75.267 places.) are supplied with quality water complying with Directive 98/83/EC, and at the level of 2019, after the completion of the projects in parallel, it will be 95.34 % (449.562 places), of which 18.08 % (85.265 place) complies with Directive 98/83/EC. The LIOP (2023) will achieve a connection rate of 98.36 % (464.400 place), fully supplied with quality water complying with Directive 98/83/EC. For waste water, the compliant rates for agglomerations are verified and reported annually by the National Administration of “Romanian Waters”, while the connection rate to the centralised water system is reported
