The general objective of the project is to improve the water and sewerage infrastructure in the localities of the project area in Constanta, Ialomita, Ilfov, Calarasi, Dambovita and Brasov counties included in the project, in order to fulfil the obligations established by the Accession Treaty and the relevant European Directives. The project contributes to the achievement of LIOP results, OS 3.2, and compliance with EU directives: Until 2023: CO18 = 305.200 inhabitants; CO19 = 214.498 p.e/125,696 inhabitants; The level of compliant connection of biodegradable organic load (in p.e.) to collecting systems in agglomerations in the project area will be 96.57 % (822.701 p.e). 2S33 – After investments in LIOP, the degree of connection to compliant water supply services will increase to 99.66 % – 640.894 inhabitants, respectively 305.200 inhabitants will be compliant at the end of the project. 2S30-4 compliant SEAUs (Black Voda, Baneasa, Jegalia and Cazanesti) are foreseen for 4 agglomerations serving between 2.000-10.000 p.e. 2S31 – The degree of connection of biodegradable organic load to agglomerations collection systems with more than 10,000 p.e. will increase from 76.06 % in 2017 (588.005 p.e.), at 96.84 % after completion of the project in 2023, reaching 748.694 p.e. 2S32 – The degree of connection of biodegradable organic load to collection systems in agglomerations by 2.000-10.000 p.e. will increase from 25.62 % in 2017 (20.197 p.e.), to 93.86 % after the completion of the project in 2023, reaching 74.003 p.e. The connection rate to the water supply system in the project area in 2017 was 90.63 % -600.284 inhabitants. From which 335.694 (50.22 %) inhabitants have access to water-supply compliant services.
