Extension and modernisation of the water supply and sewerage system in Timis County

The overall objective of the investment measure is to improve infrastructure in the water sector for the benefit of the environment and people in order to fulfil the obligations of compliance with the Accession Treaty. The aim of the project is to continue and complete the works on the rehabilitation of the water supply system and waste water collection systems in the localities related to the initial project, which were started under SOP ENV 20007-2013 and consisted mainly of the following measures: — Extension and rehabilitation of water sources, treatment plants, tanks, additions and distribution networks; — SEAU extension and rehabilitation, pumping stations and sewerage networks. This notification confirms that the documents (feasibility study, including the analysis of options and the results of the CBA, the environmental impact assessment, the institutional analysis, etc.) which formed the basis of Decision C (2011) 104/14.01.2011, as well as the information communicated in the phase-up request (the body responsible for the implementation of the project, the investment and the place of implementation, according to the financing application assessed and approved by the COM, the total cost and the total eligible cost, taking into account the requirements set out in Article 61 of Regulation COM EC 1303/2013) are maintained and are not such as to change the original purpose and objectives of the project as well as the results of the cost-benefit analysis. Please note that the phase-in request includes the estimated costs and this notification includes the costs resulting from the public procurement process (except the extension and modernisation of water supply and sewerage networks in the city of Deta (two lots) for which the public procurement process is ongoing). Water supply CO18 Water distribution; Additional population that will benefit from better water supply after the implementation of phase 2 of the project – 5,645 people. Upon completion of phase 2 (2017) of the project, the number of persons who will benefit from the drinking water supply through the drinking water distribution network as a result of the increase in the production/capacity for drinking water transport will be 5,645 inhabitants and 0.07 % of the total inhabitants requiring water supply in Romania (8.018.086 inhabitants – data calculated on the basis of information provided by INS/ANAR) and 0.03 % of the total inhabitants in Romania (20.121.641 inhabitants – census data provided by INS). At the completion of phase 2 (2017) of the project, the number of persons who will benefit from the drinking water supply through the drinking water distribution network as a result of the increase in the production/capacity of drinking water transport will be 5,645 inhabitants, respectively 3.1 % of the total inhabitants requiring water supply at Timis county level (180.152 inhabitants – data calculated on the basis of information taken from Master Pla
