Phase-out of the Project Extension and Rehabilitation of the Water and Waste Water Infrastructure in Suceava County

The general objective of the project “Project Phase Extension and Rehabilitation of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure in Suceava County” is to continue the works related to Phase I financed by SOP ENV 2007-2013 in order to achieve the objectives assumed by Financing Contract No 121804/05.07.2011, namely improving the quality and access of the population to water and wastewater infrastructure, in accordance with the European Union’s practices and policy and in the investment context imposed by Priority Axis I “Extension and modernisation of water and wastewater systems”. The physical indicators of the project concern investment measures for the extension and rehabilitation of water and sewerage networks, and waste water treatment plants in Suceava county. Phase II of the major project is addressed to 2 agglomerations in Suceava County, Fălticeni and Rădăuţi. The agglomeration of Rădăuţi represents a significant urban concentration in Suceava County, taking the second place in the list of agglomerations in the county, with a population of 28,888 inhabitants and an equivalent population of 33,333 L.E. Also the agglomeration of Fălticeni represents a significant urban concentration in Suceava County, ranking 3 rd place in the list of agglomerations in the county, with a population of 28.540 inhabitants and an equivalent population of 33.151 L.E. A document is attached showing the expected contribution of the project to the achievement of result indicators within the specific objectives at programme level.
