The aim of the Centre of Excellence in Genomics and Transient Medicine is to discover links between human genome variants and the mechanism of disease development. The new knowledge generated by the Centre of Excellence will allow the development of new strategies for improving public health, preventing and treating diseases and personalised medicine. The main object of research is the Estonian gene repository of UT, where nearly 52,000 gene donors have given their health descriptions and blood samples.
