Name of the project: Provision of policy coordination functions of the horizontal principle “Equal Opportunities” at the Ministry of Welfare (2015-2018) The aim of the project shall be: Ensure the coordination and effective integration of the horizontal principle of equal opportunities in the programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Cohesion Policy funds in order to enhance the positive impact of actions for the wider public. The target group of the project is public administration institutions involved in the management of European Union funds, cooperation partners, social partners, associations and foundations, republic city municipalities. The objective of the horizontal policy “Equal Opportunities” is to contribute to ensuring the necessary conditions and equal opportunities for all citizens to participate in the Cohesion Policy Funds support areas, namely to stabilise the situation of a person in a social risk situation, to reduce the chances of social risk, to reduce barriers to employment, education and science, health care, entrepreneurship, environment and information, thus enabling everyone to have a sufficient quality of life in a particular situation. The project will implement activities promoting non-discrimination on grounds of sex, disability, age or ethnic origin: 1. Ensuring the management and implementation of the project; 2. Ensuring the policy coordination functions of the horizontal principle of equal opportunities; 3. Services aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of the implementation of the horizontal principle of equal opportunities, including: 3.1. Expert advice on environmental accessibility at the locations of projects co-financed by ERDF and CF (60 consultations); 3.2. Development of an environmental accessibility strategy and environmental accessibility standard for public and residential buildings (1 standard); 3.3. Organisation of seminars on gender equality, non-discrimination on grounds of disability, age or ethnic origin (12 seminars). The total cost of the project is EUR 158000, including. 85 % co-financing from the Cohesion Fund and national public funding amounts to 15 %. The duration of the project is January 2016 to 31 December 2018.
