The aim of the project “Recovery of degraded industrial territories in the territories of Daugavpils city and Ilūkste county in Phase II” is to revitalise the industrial territories of Daugavpils city and Ilūkste county by organising public infrastructure for attracting private investments, thus facilitating territorial growth and creation of new jobs in the city and region. The planned activities within the project will promote common socio-economic goals, namely, creation of new jobs, restoration of degraded areas, development of business environment and territorial growth. The planned main activities of the project:1. Development of supporting technical documentation, including construction expertise;2. Project management;3. Section II of the infrastructure of Cherepova industrial territory in Daugavpils by rebuilding streets with the necessary engineering communications;4. Development of the former “Bird Farm” area of the city of Ilūkste as a production area. 5. Provision of author supervision services in accordance with the construction regulations of the Republic of Latvia;6. Provision of construction supervision services in accordance with the construction regulations of the Republic of Latvia;7. Publicity of the project.Total results of the project: Revitalised degraded area of 29.4268 ha, about 309 new jobs and attracted private investments in the amount of EUR 5 819 623.00.The total project costs are EUR 7864816.40, incl. VAT, of which the eligible costs are EUR 7766126.73 and ineligible is EUR 98689.67. broken down by funding sources:The amount of Daugavpils City Council is EUR 5316934.40, ERDF 85 % – EUR 4435508.02; State budget grant 4,5 % – EUR 234821.01; Municipal co-financing 10,5 % – EUR 547915.70 and ineligible costs EUR 98689.67.The amount of Ilūkste Municipality project is EUR 2547882.00, ERDF 81.29 % – EUR 2071143.98; State budget grant 4,24 % – EUR 108049.60; Municipal co-financing 21,50 % – EUR 252115.73 and private eligible costs 4.58 % – EUR 116572.69.The duration of the project implementation – from July 2019 to March 2021 (21 month from the date of signing of the Agreement on Project Implementation). Prior to approval of the project application, Daugavpils City Council started one of the project activities – “Reconstruction of driveways in Siguldas Street district”, including construction supervision and author supervision services.
