The aim of the project is to support the establishment and development of new viable and competitive merchants in the regions of Latvia by providing natural persons who carry out or are preparing to carry out economic activities, small and medium-sized enterprises, consultations, training and events on general business issues, mentors’ support, environment (premises) and grant co-financing for business costs. Within the framework of the project 300 enterprises will receive support (grants), 1000 newly created merchants, the increase in employment in the supported enterprises will increase by 1000 employees (FTE) in the scope of the project, 60 companies in the field of creative industries will be supported, as well as 2200 natural persons and merchants will receive non-financial support for the project in the form of the European Units. The project implementation time is planned from the signing of the agreement on the implementation of the project until December 31, 2023. At the same time, project implementation activities have been started as of 1 January 2016.
