Support to RTU international cooperation projects in research and innovation

The aim of the project is to promote the development and participation of RTU bilateral and multilateral cooperation projects in international research, networking and twinning activities and in infrastructure facilities of the European Strategic Forum for Research Infrastructures, including support for the implementation of the action plan of the Latvian National Contact Point of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN). Preparation of draft proposals for framework programme. In order to ensure the preparation of these projects and participation of RTU scientific staff in the international scientific space, it is planned to participate in 6 networking, learning and mobility, partnership and information days events and participate in 20 international conferences within the framework of the project. Due to the amendments to the regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers regulating the event No. 315 (17.08.2020), the project will provide international training of academic and scientific staff of Latvian universities and scientific institutions for high-level digital skills and knowledge transfer (trained 40 persons).The implementation of the project is planned for 54 months (07.2018.-12.2022) for the total amount of EUR 3925861.00, of which EUR 3336981.84 is the European Regional Development Fund funding and EUR 588879.16 is state budget funds. For the implementation of the action plan of the Latvian National Contact Point of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), EUR 573400 is foreseen, of which EUR 487390 is European Regional Development Fund funding and EUR 86010 is state budget funds, while international training of academic and scientific staff of Latvian universities and scientific institutions for high-level digital skills and knowledge transfer is estimated at EUR 2500000, of which EUR 2125000 is European Regional Development Fund funding and EUR 375000 is state budget funds.
