The general aim of the project is to promote the development of Latvian forestry capacity and to promote its international recognition and competitiveness. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to prepare the applications for 16 projects evaluated and supported by the ERDF in the framework of the project “Horizon 2020” and the European Union 9. In the framework programme, visit 4 “Horizon 2020” and the partnership exchanges organised within the framework of the 9th Framework Programme, 4 attend the support events and information days organised by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, and participate with reports at international scientific conferences in the amount of 64 missions. The project promotes the implementation of the economic transformation direction and growth priority specified in the smart specialisation strategy of Latvia and the development of specialisation area – knowledge-intensive bioeconomy. The location of the project – LVMI “Silava”, the project implementation time from the signing of the Agreement until December 31, 2022, before the start of the project were prepared 6 project applications above the quality threshold, project implementation duration – 57 months, eligible costs – EUR 213727.57, incl. ERDF co-financing – EUR 181668.43.
