The project concerns the construction of sewerage networks as well as a new sewage treatment plant (EEL), in order to protect the Soulos River and by extension Lake Vegoritida from the sewage of the area occupied by the Municipal Unit of Filota of the Municipality of Amynta.Both the Soulos River and Lake Vegoritis are sensitive recipients, part of which falls within a Natura area. The sewage of all the settlements that make up the Municipal Unit Filota ends with a natural path untreated to these sensitive recipients.To address the problem overall, the construction of 6 internal drainage networks in the settlements of Filota, Levaia, Antigonia, Pelargos, Vegoros and Maniaki will be implemented in the context of this project. These internal networks, with the help of an overall external network, will collect all the waste water, which will be subjected to higher treatment in the proposed ESA for construction.
