The Act consists of 3 Hyperprojects: Y1: Establishment and operation of a Multipurpose Centre: It aims to provide primary support and short-term intervention services to all individual groups of addicts according to their needs (drug dependants, occasional users, alcohol users, people with dual diagnosis, etc.) and to refer to more specialised structures (replacement programs, therapeutic communities, mental health units, etc.), if necessary. The headquarters of the structure will be in an existing building of OKANA in the courtyard of Rethymnon Y2: Mobile Intervention Unit: It will be complementary to the UC and will aim at intervention in non-urban areas or in areas with a lack of anti-dependence services. It will be addressed to the population of persons using addictive substances or experiencing other type of addictive behaviour, in order to facilitate access to primary addiction services and referral to more specialised services. Prevention Services Program: It concerns a coordinated effort focusing on timely implementation of meaningful and targeted measures for vulnerable groups of our fellow human beings, on providing accessible and scientifically documented interventions and on promoting healthy forms of entertainment. YP3 will strengthen the action of the CIs of the Region of Crete and, on the other hand, contribute to better addressing the serviced population and their needs in the region.
