The Community Centre of Komotini is a new structure with innovative features, which will complement the Centre for Relief and Solidarity of the Municipality of Komotini and will provide its services to the citizens of the Municipality of Komotini, with particular emphasis on disadvantaged people and marginalised groups. The Community Centre receives and registers the beneficiaries, with the aim of diagnosing their needs and promoting them in Services, Structures and Programs that exist at the current time and have as their object the social support empowerment and integration (Employment Organisation for Labour Resources – OAED, National Health System – NHS, Children’s Creative Employment Centres – KDAP, Home Help Programme, Mental Health Centres etc). The aim of the Community Centre is also to develop a local reference point for the reception, information and support of citizens for the implementation of Social Solidarity Income (SSF). In addition, the Community Centre will be an integral part of the creation and operation of the National Mechanism for Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation of Social Inclusion and Social Cohesion Policies.
