The project concerns the upgrading of the Gournes Hersonissos road section (approximately 9.2 km long) of the North Road Axis of Crete (Boak) in the Prefecture of Heraklion and includes:1. The upgrading of this section, over a length of approximately 7,9 km, from a single branch cross-section of 12,50 m width per direction to a dual branch cross-section of 21,60 m wide (2 traffic lanes and Emergency Lane [LEA] per direction and separating islet), except for the area of the Upper Crossing of Agrianes, where the cross section will be 18.80 m (2 lanes per direction and separating islet).2. The construction of a new engraving of about 1,3 km, cross section of a double branch of 21.60 m wide (2 lanes and LEA per direction and separating island).3.The construction of a parallel network of approximately 9 km and the restoration of a vertical network total length of approximately 5.5 km.4. 5.The construction of Great Technical Bridges (4 bridges, 7 Lower Crossings, 5 Upper Crossings), small technical and support walls.6. Drainage works for rainwater.7. The project includes Expropriations, Archaeological Research, Complementary Studies and Services of Technical Consultants that are necessary for the implementation of the project.
