The aim of the Act is to modernise the water supply network, through the construction of new pipelines and the implementation of new control zones, in part of the Volos and N.Ionia units of the town planning complex, with the aim of easier control of operation in these departments, the identification and limitation of unspoiled leaks, the establishment of a separate water balance and the provision of optimal service to citizens. In these areas it is estimated that water losses exceed 40 % of the water produced and the operation is expected to ensure a seamless supply of the required drinking water. The area of the project is located: in the center of the city of Volos, it is bounded by the torrents Krausidonas and Anavros (west and east), Analipsis Street (north) and the coastline (south). In the area of N.Ionia, which is bordered by the streets of Ierolochites, Markos Botsari, Maiander, Venizelos, National Games, Ikaron, Mandira Nikiforos and Paraskevopoulou.
