Telecontrol and Automation of the water supply system of the EYATH service area

The project aims at the automated monitoring and management of the water supply network of Thessaloniki (conduits, pump rooms, tanks, etc.) with the implementation of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and the integration into it of similar local systems that have from time to time been installed in the existing water supply network of the area. This system will ensure the detection and control of drinking water leaks, as well as the effective operation of the anti-labelling air compressor containers and the operational status of all installed electromechanical equipment to prevent future drinking water leaks. The technical object of the project provides for the installation of appropriate data instruments, such as tanks, positions of electric valves, hydraulic valve positions, supplies, pressures, opacity and residual chlorine, etc., at selected points of the water supply system.
