The general objective is to increase the energy performance of residential buildings in Alba Iulia in the context of ensuring an optimal quality of life. This goal is aligned with the local development policy defined in the following strategic documents: The development strategy of Alba Iulia Municipality for the period 2014-2020 – Integrated Urban Development Strategy (sidu); The action plan for sustainable energy – PAED – of the municipality of Alba Iulia. Achieving the general objective will lead to: — Reducing energy consumption and limiting greenhouse gas emissions by 24 % by 2020 compared to the quantity of emissions assessed for the reference year 2008 (deiderat of Alba Iulia PAED); — Creating/maintaining jobs and promoting social cohesion (target of the Europe 2020 strategy); — Raising citizens’ awareness on sustainable energy issues in order to mobilise and involve them in sustained actions to reduce energy consumption.
