Rehabilitation and modernisation of Maria Baiulescu Technical College

The general objective of the project meets the specific objective of Investment Priority 4.5 “Increasing the quality of education infrastructure relevant to the labour market”. The city of Brasov is an important tourist destination of the country and faces a constant need for specialised staff in professions covered by services in general and tourist services in particular. The aim of the project is to provide training appropriate to the demand and demand shown by economic operators in these fields. Such training can only be carried out in a public-private partnership in which all actors work together to train young professionals in the field. In this respect, the representatives of the main operators of HoReCa Brasov, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brasov, the Ministry of Education, the School Inspectorate of Brasov County, the Federation of Hotel Industry in Romania, as well as the Technical College “Maria Baiulescu”, agreed on the details regarding the establishment of three professional classes in the field of tourism and public food. In addition, the “Maria Baiulescu” Technical College has a privileged status in the structure of the Brasov pre-university education, being the only school unit in Brasov county that trains specialised staff for qualifications required on the textile-leather labour market.
