Increasing energy efficiency and using renewable energy sources at the sanitary unit – Hospital of Pneumophysiology “Dr. Nicolae Rusdea” Baia Mare. The goal of the project <Increasing energy efficiency in public buildings in Baia Mare Municipality, Pneumophysiology Hospital "Dr. Nicolae Rusdea">> is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Baia Mare by implementing interventions to increase energy efficiency, changing the hospital’s classic heating system with a system that uses renewable energy (heat pumps and solar panels) and installing a cogeneration system for the production of electricity and thermal energy for the own consumption of the sanitary unit with the Pneumoftiziology Hospital "Dr. Nicolae Rusdea. The investment provides for the replacement of the own heat plant, in order to increase the efficiency and reduce CO2 equivalent emissions; installation of alternative systems for the production of electricity and/or heat for own consumption, such as: equipping its own heat plant with micro-cogeneration for the production of electricity and heat in cogenerative system, of high efficiency and operation on natural gas; installation of a soil-water heat pump system for the preparation of both the heating agent for space heating, as well as for the hot water for consumption; installation of solar thermal collectors, in order to reduce energy consumption from conventional sources and greenhouse gas emissions. The investment also provides: improvement of the thermal protection of the hospital building (thermal envelope part opaque and glazed part, thermo – waterproofing floor, thermal insulation – floor over the basement); refurbishment/modernisation of the heating system by replacing the heat agent distribution installation for heating heating, replacing the installation of heat distribution agent for hot water consumption, replacing the existing heating bodies with new radiators; rehabilitation/modernisation of the system for the supply of hot water for consumption by replacing the installation of the distribution of the heat agent for hot water for consumption; rehabilitation/modernisation of the lighting installation in the building by replacing the existing luminaires with lighting fixtures with high energy efficiency and long lifespan.
