Overview Overall objective: Developing the social, recreational and public infrastructure in order to improve the quality of life and ensure equal opportunities and treatment for the inhabitants of Ștei. Description General objective: In the city of Ștei, according to the Atlas of marginalised urban areas in Romania, less than 10 % of the population is located in marginalised areas, and as highlighted in the Feasibility Study, the 2 investment objectives are focused in a fast and easy access area for people in any part of the city, who are at risk of poverty and social exclusion. The intention to solve several problems at the same time is an integrated approach aimed at: the social and recreational segments through Objective 1 – Multifunctional recreational centre, and last but not least, the segment of public infrastructure through Objective 2 – Way of access – Street of the Lioarei. Given that Objective 1 can also serve the sports educational interests of Miron Pompiliu high school students through the outdoor volleyball field, we can say that the present project also affects the educational segment even if we are talking about an area from interaction with the recreational segment. According to the Atlas of Marginalised Rural Areas and Local Human Development in Romania, in the city of Ştei, the Local Human Development Index (ID) is 76.48.
