REHABILITATION AND MODERNISATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION AT MIRON POMPILIU STEI GYMNASIUM SCHOOL: OBJECTIVE: MIRON POMPILIU SECONDARY SCHOOL, OBJECTIVE: SMALL SPORTS FIELD

Overview Overall objective: Improving the educational and social recreational offer in order to increase the quality of life of the citizens of the city of Ștei. Description General objective: In the city of Ștei, according to the Atlas of marginalised urban areas in Romania, less than 10 % of the population is located in marginalised areas, and as highlighted in the Feasibility Study, the 2 investment objectives are located in a central area in order to ensure fair access for all young people from all areas of the city, but also for those in adjacent localities, especially since no well-defined areas have been identified, slum type, so people from vulnerable groups are distributed almost homogeneously. The aim of this project is to contribute to the development of the educational offer so as to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of young people in the city of Ştei, including those from vulnerable groups, which will on the one hand reduce the exodus to other cities but also the effective social integration of vulnerable people. The intention to solve several problems at the same time is an integrated approach aimed at: the educational segment through Objective 1 – MIRON Pompiliu GIMNAZIAL Şcoala, and last but not least, the social and recreational segment through Objective 2 – TEREN OF SPORT OF SMALLS DIMENSIUNI. Objective 1 harms the educational segment by contributing significantly to improving the conditions for conducting the educational act, thereby increasing its attractiveness. Through after school, children belonging to disadvantaged groups have the opportunity to interact with well-trained teachers who, with infrastructure at high quality standards, can make the educational act attractive. Another part of a strategic approach is that through the sports field, young people who learn at this school will interact with other young people in the city or in the surrounding areas, thus creating a context in which people from disadvantaged groups can integrate at both educational and social level in a way that does not involve constraints or discrimination. Moreover, the sports field also offers the possibility of spending quality leisure time. Contribution of the project to the achievement of Specific Objective 13.1 – “Improving the quality of life of the population in small and medium-sized cities in Romania”. (crt. 1 ETF): By working together to intervene in two important areas: educational, social and recreational, the project contributes to the achievement of Specific Objective 13.1: “Increasing participation in early childhood and compulsory education, in particular for children at high risk of early leaving” through the following features: improving the quality of life of Vulnerab groups
