The general objective of the project aims to increase economic competitiveness and improve the living conditions of the communities in Teregova, Cornereva and Mehadia localities by increasing the connectivity and mobility of rural areas in the vicinity of the TEN-T road corridor. The project aims to reduce development disparities and rural-urban disparities by improving the access of rural residents to cities and towns of county residence. Easy road access offers rural residents increased opportunities in education (secondary schools), health (hospitals) but also economic opportunities (jobs). Investments in road infrastructure, especially those in the vicinity of important trans-European networks, bring added value to the living standards of the beneficiary communities directly (inhabitants of the DJ 608) and indirect beneficiaries (transit traffic using DJ 608).
