The general objective of the project “Local development in marginalised communities, component 1 – Colonia Nuci” was established in conjunction with the ROP 2014-2020 objectives of Priority Axis 4-“Supporting sustainable urban development”, Investment Priority 4.3 – “Providing support for the physical, economic and social regeneration of disadvantaged communities in urban and rural regions” Specific Objective 4.3 “Improving physical, economic and social regeneration of marginalised communities in the municipalities of county residence in Romania”. The project subscribes to the general objective of ROP 2014-2020 to increase economic competitiveness and improve the living conditions of local and regional communities by supporting the development of the business environment, infrastructure conditions and services, ensuring a sustainable development of the regions, capable of efficiently managing resources, capitalising on their potential for innovation and assimilation of technological progress. To achieve this specific objective, the 1400 inhabitants of the marginalised urban area Colonia Nuci (the Roma population representing 60 % of the community population) are the target group of this dedicated call. General objective: Physical, economic and social regeneration of the marginalised community Colonia Nucicare to lead to: improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the marginalised commune Colonia Nuci in Ramnicu Valcea, Valcea county, by providing better living conditions, access to a better life, increasing the chances of employment in the formal sector for people aged 15-64 who are not in formal labor market and do not follow a form of education, improving the built environment The project aims to solve the infrastructural, social and economic problems concentrated in the disadvantaged and marginalised Colonia Nuci in Mun Rm Valcea, promoting the social inclusion of the marginalised population represented by the 1400 inhabitants of the area.
