Modernisation, extension and endowment of the outpatient hospital of Vâlcea County Emergency Hospital

The general objective of the project is to increase the accessibility of outpatient health services to the population of Vâlcea County. The Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020 (ROP) comprises Priority Axis 8 – “Development of health and social infrastructure”, which includes the Investment Priority 8.1. “Investment in health and social infrastructure that contributes to development at national, regional and local level, reducing inequalities in health status and promoting social inclusion by improving access to social, cultural and recreational services, and shifting from institutional to community-based services”. One of the specific objectives of Priority Axis 8 is Specific Objective 8.1 “Increasing accessibility of health, community and secondary-level services, especially for poor and isolated areas”. The project “Modernisation, extension and endowment of the Ambulatory within the Vâlcea Emergency Hospital” contributes directly to the achievement of the specific objective of the ROP mentioned both in terms of expected results (e.g. number of beneficiaries) and by being located in a county of one of the poorest regions at national and European level. Thus, by modernising, expanding and equipping the Ambulatory will increase the access of the population in the area served to outpatient medical services.
