Modernisation of the county road DJ 546, Daneasa (intersection DN6)-Slatina (intersection DN65) – Verguleasa (intersection DN67B)

The project responds to the specific objective of investment priority 6.1. Boosting regional mobility by connecting secondary and tertiary nodes to TEN-T infrastructure(*), including multimodal nodes, i.e. increasing the accessibility of rural and urban areas located close to the TEN-T network through the modernisation of county roads. The project proposes the modernisation of DJ 546, which provides secondary connectivity to the TEN-T network through DN6, DN65 and DN67B. The modernisation of DJ 546 will ensure that rural areas (Dăneasa, Mărunţa, Coteana, Brebeni, Valea Mare, Curtișoara, Teslui, Verguleasa) and urban areas (Municipality of Slatina and Draganesti Olt) are located close to the national roads that cross the TEN-T network. Direct connection between Daneasa (DN6) and the municipality of SLATINA (E574). The overall objective of the project is to ensure a modern and sustainable regional and local (inter-county) transport infrastructure, as well as all other conditions for the systematic development of the economy and the improvement of quality of life, in order to reduce travel time and streamline traffic by connecting to the TEN-T Core network.
