The general objective of the project is to increase the energy efficiency of the building in which the Oncology Clinic and Dermatology Clinic (Corp C2) operates within Craiova County Emergency Clinical Hospital, by executing intervention works in accordance with the Energy Audit, applying the conclusions and recommendations of the Technical Expertise and the Study on the possibility of using alternative high efficiency systems for increasing energy performance. Through this project, specific investments will be made to increase the energy efficiency of public buildings, namely: — thermal insulation of the tire (external walls, terrace floor, floor over the basement, replacement of the existing exterior carpentry with energy efficient joinery); — mounting system with air-to-air heat pumps. The system will consist of outdoor units and indoor units, equipped with Inverter technology for modulating the frequency of the compressor supply voltage. — the installation of trivalent boilers, powered from thermodynamic solar panels, air-water heat pumps and electrical resistance, in order to use renewable sources; — replacing fluorescent and incandescent lighting fixtures with high energy efficiency and long lifespan luminaires, with motion sensors, for energy saving. A system with photovoltaic panels will be installed in order to use renewable sources; — the installation of heat recoverers with high efficiency, having low energy consumption of fans and permissible noise level for a smooth performance of the activities in the rooms and treatment rooms. During the summer period, it is recommended to use the ventilation system during the night for passive cooling of the building. The implementation of energy efficiency measures will lead to: — improving hygiene and indoor thermal comfort conditions – reducing heat losses and energy consumption, – reducing maintenance costs for heating and hot water consumption – reducing pollutant emissions from energy production, transport and consumption leading to efficient use of energy resources. The general objective supports the Investment Priority 3.1 Supporting energy efficiency, smart energy management and renewable energy use in public infrastructures, including public buildings, and housing sector, Section B – Public Buildings.
