Increase the quality of educational infrastructure through modernisation, extension, endowment and interior courtyard at Ion Creanga’s long-time kindergarten. By modernising and expanding the Ion Creanga Garden in Alexandria, a modern educational infrastructure will be created, in accordance with the current standards on the design and operation of buildings with kindergarten destination, equipped with equipment, teaching material for carrying out the educational act that will improve the educational offer in preschool education. This objective is clearly in line with Specific Objective 4.4 Increasing the quality of infrastructure to ensure increased access to early education and support parents’ participation in the labour market. In all regions of Romania, regardless of their level of development, the education infrastructure is poor and needs to be improved in order to provide the schools necessary for the inclusion of preschoolers and pupils in the education system. According to the MEN (2015) inventory, more than 88 % of the education infrastructure requires rehabilitation/modernisation works (a higher percentage being recorded in rural areas 90 %) in order to ensure adequate educational conditions. Buildings, classrooms and facilities – in a word, educational infrastructure – are vital elements of kindergarten learning environments. Research results suggest that high-quality infrastructure leads to improved education, development of preschool skills and reduction of early school leaving, in addition to other benefits
