The general objective of the proposed project is to improve the education infrastructure at the level of Prahova county and implicitly of the educational process, by creating new spaces needed to carry out the educational activity within the School Center for Inclusive Education Breaza. Special and specially integrated education is an integral part of the Romanian national education system and offers all children/students/young educational programs tailored to the degree of deficiency and their development needs. Investments in education, improvement of educational infrastructure are a permanent concern of local public authorities. Besides the many important considerations that contribute to a quality education, the conditions of the educational units in which children learn are of major importance. That is why a considerable interest is required in the rehabilitation of buildings for the proper conduct of the teaching activities. Prahova County Council and the management of the Special Centre for Inclusive Education from Breaza have expressed their interest in the educational infrastructure of the county and resorted to the start of the rehabilitation and modernisation actions of the School Center, given the conditions under which the school activity is currently taking place, in a building body that does not correspond to the norms of school design, in order to achieve the proposed objective of developing and improving the educational infrastructure and to create qualitative conditions for the conduct of the teaching processes. Through this project, the construction of the new infrastructure will take into account aspects regarding energy-efficient and environmentally responsible solutions, reduced environmental impact, creation of proper hygiene conditions, but also savings of funds for the operation of the building. In addition, the general objective of the project contributes both to an increase in the quality of the special educational process, as well as to the increase of the degree of participation in the special education level.
