The overall objective of the project is to reduce carbon emissions in urban areas based on sustainable urban mobility plans. The achievement of all specific objectives ensures that the overall objective of the project is achieved and is a consequence of their achievement. The objectives are closely linked to the activities and outputs foreseen to be achieved/achieved respectively: — Estimated annual decrease in greenhouse gases (tonnes CO2/year) – Annual estimated increase in the number of passengers transported in public passenger transport systems built (no passengers); — The estimated annual increase in the number of people using pedestrian/modernised areas.
