Increasing energy efficiency of public buildings in Medgidia, Nicolae Balcescu Theoretical High School, school body and sports hall, Medgidia

The general objective of the project aims to increase energy efficiency in the two bodies of Nicolae Bălcescu Theoretical High School, School Corps and Sports Hall Corps, in Medgidia by carrying out intervention works with the aim of strengthening the school body and thermal insulation of buildings, modernising the installations for the preparation and distribution of heat agent and hot domestic water, including the use of renewable sources to ensure energy needs, as well as other related works. The general objective supports the Investment Priority 3.1 Supporting energy efficiency, smart energy management and renewable energy use in public infrastructures, including public buildings, and housing sector, Section B – Public Buildings. Through this project will be supported activities specific to the realisation of investments to increase the energy efficiency of public buildings, namely: A. Thermal rehabilitation works of the tyre elements of the building: Thermal insulation of facades – opaque part: it is performed with composite systems of thermal insulation of facades with a heat insulation thickness of 20 cm. — gym Thermal insulation of facades – opaque part: it is performed with composite systems of thermal insulation of facades with a heat insulation thickness of 20 cm. School body Thermal insulation of the facade – glazed part, by replacing the existing exterior joinery, including the one related to access to the public building, with thermal insulation joinery equipped, as appropriate, with devices/flies/grids for ventilation of occupied spaces and avoiding the occurrence of condensation on the interior elements of the tyre. — school body Thermo-hydroisolation of the roof in the locker area: it is performed with composite thermo-hydroisolation systems with a thermal insulation thickness of 10 cm. — Thermo-hydroisolation of the terrace is performed with composite thermal insulation systems with a heat insulation thickness of 30 cm. school body The thermal insulation of the floor over the unheated basement is carried out with composite thermal insulation systems with a heat insulation thickness of 10 cm.- school body. Works on thermal rehabilitation of the heating system/of the hot water supply system for consumption Replacement of the boiler in its own thermal power plant, in order to increase the efficiency and reduce CO2 equivalent emissions – school body Replacement of heating bodies with radiators – body Replacement of heating bodies with radiators – sports hall Replacement of the heater distribution installation – school body Replacement of the heater distribution installation for heating – heating room – Replacement of the thermal installation for the heating installation
