Extension, rehabilitation, modernisation and endowment Integrated Speciality Ambulatory of the Emergency County Clinical Hospital "Sf. Apostle Andrei

The general objective of the project is the extension, rehabilitation, modernisation and endowment of the specialised Ambulatory within the County Emergency Clinical Hospital "St. Apostle Andrei" Galati. The planned results and the proposed activities will lead to the achievement of the objective of Priority Axis 8 – Development of health and social infrastructure", Investment Priority 8.1 – Investments in health and social infrastructure contributing to development at national, regional and local level, reducing health inequalities and promoting social inclusion by improving access to social, cultural and recreational services, as well as shifting from institutional to community-based services", specific Objective 8.1 "Enhancing the accessibility of health, community and secondary-level services, especially for poor and isolated areas, Operation A – outpatients, by contributing to the achievement of programme indicators and the impact of successful project implementation on the socio-economic evolution of the adjacent area and on the living standards of the population in adjacent localities. The horizontal extension and modernisation of the spaces in which the integrated specialised ambulatory carries out its activity is necessary for taking over a proportion of low-gravity medical casuistics, ensuring the necessary prevention, providing primary care services for people at risk of poverty. The impact of the implementation of the project will lead to the reduction of avoidable admissions and the accessibility of a diversified offer of healthcare services within the ambulatory for medical specialisations where the requests and the number of consultations know high and increasing values: diabetes, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, ophthalmology, urology, cardiology. We mention that for all medical specialisations that will benefit from the results of the project, the beneficiaries are also people from the rural area of Galati county, being the only health unit of public interest in Galati county that offers consultations and treatment for these specialisations. We highlight that at present there is a very large number of rural patients who benefit from outpatient medical services for specialisations: diabetes, oncology, neurology, orthopedics and ophthalmology. At the same time, the project will lead to increased quality and diversification of the services of medical investigations offered and the increase in the number of offices that will provide these services will lead to a reduction in the consultation time, currently several doctors using the same space for medical consultations for a very large number of patients (diabetes – 23.279 consultations/year, oncology – 10.447 consultations/year, orthopedics – 5.810 consultations/year, neurology – 5.775 consultations/year, ophthalmology – 5.577 consultations/year, ur
