Expansion and modernisation of the surrounding area of Galati

The main objective of the investment is to ensure an extended and modernised road access route that connects the eastern, northern and western exit point of Galati as the bypass with the status of technical class II and III county road. The implementation of the project will ensure the fluency of heavy and very heavy traffic currently crossing Galati, increasing traffic safety, shortening the transit time of the area, offers multiple economic advantages through easy access to the industrial areas of the city located on the route of this public road, increasing traffic speed, increasing load-bearing capacity, reducing noxes. The route proposed in the project will represent the only route bypass Galati due to its geographical location being impossible to achieve an alternative route through the south-east – Siret River, to the south – the Danube river, to the east – the Prut river). Thus, the heavy traffic of goods and passengers on the North-South and East-West axes of Galati will ensure the connection between DN2B, DN26, DN22B, DJ251, DN22E. The road will collect the inbound/exit traffic flow from DN 2B to the border with the Republic of Moldova, DN26 to the county. Vaslui and jud.
