Improving the quality of life in the city of Gura Humorului, Suceava county

The overall objective of the project is to: Improving the quality of life in the city of Gura Humorului, Suceava County. Project contribution to OS 13.1 – Improving the quality of life of the population in small and medium-sized cities in Romania The project will contribute directly to: — improving living conditions for low-income people – improving cultural and recreational services – improving the quality of public services in the road view through street rehabilitation – improving the quality of the surrounding environment through the development of green spaces, the construction of bicycle paths and the construction of sidewalks. Project contribution to meeting the objectives of Investment Priority 9b – Providing support for physical, economic and social revitalisation of disadvantaged communities in urban and rural regions The implementation of the project will contribute to: — promoting social inclusion and preventing marginalisation of disadvantaged groups or vulnerable groups through the development of existing social services, the establishment of new social services and the establishment of new public services in the field of culture and leisure – combating territorial segregation by improving access to public services as a result of the rehabilitation of some roads across the city. The city of Gura Humorului falls among small and medium-sized towns with a population of 17,106 inhabitants on 1 January 2018. According to the Atlas of marginalised urban areas in the city of Gura Humorului: — population in unadvantaged areas: 54,23 %; population in disadvantaged areas on occupancy: 15,95 %; population in disadvantaged areas on human capital: 18,82 %; population in marginalised areas: 4,41 %; population in areas with institutions or less than 50 inhabitants: 6.59 %. Within the project will be achieved cultural, social and road infrastructure objectives that will provide a wide range of services and will address the population of the city as a whole, thus ensuring the integrated character of the project. Particular attention will be paid to vulnerable or risky social groups: low-income or low-income people, elderly people, young people. The investments envisaged are: the creation of a multifunctional cultural center, in which the following institutions should function: museum, cultural house and library; construction of social housing; Establishment of an educational center in the building of social housing; — arranging a playground, green areas around the social housing block; — the arrangement of parking spaces and roadways; rehabilitation and modernisation of several roads in the locality; — construction of sidewalks and cycle paths in the areas adjacent to the socio-cultural component. The project contributes directly to the achievement of Axis 13.1 objective and investment priority 9b, having an integrated character through the variety of objects
