The general objective of the project is to increase the quality of life in Siret through culture, permanent education and modern urban spaces The project covers 3 out of 8 dimensions of the quality of life monitored by the European Union: 1. Education 2. Free time 3. Medium (http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/gdp-and-beyond/quality-of-life/data ) 1. In the field of education, it will be considered to improve access to permanent learning and implicitly to increase the number of participants in such activities. This will be achieved by building an educational center for permanent learning as a public entity subordinated to the local public administration authorities. The indicator monitored by the EU in this case is the rate of participation in permanent learning activities. 2. In the field of leisure time will be considered the development of leisure infrastructure through participation in cultural and sporting events, creating favourable conditions for social interaction and encouraging volunteering activities. The indicators monitored by the EU in this case are: The rate of participation in cultural and sporting events, the quality of cultural and sporting events, the access to cultural and sports activities frequent group meetings in the family or with friends participating in voluntary activities This will be achieved by – building an educational center for permanent learning which, according to the law, has among its objectives and personal development through literature, art, sport and other activities of this type, – through the rehabilitation of the museum in Siret that will host among others educational and cultural activities and – by modernising the parks in Siret that will acquire cultural and recreational valences after equipping with the mobile stage, turret with events area, outdoor fitness appliances. The building of the History Museum in Siret is included in the list of historical monuments category B. 3. In the field of Environmental Quality, the quality of the built environment will be taken into account. The built environment includes places and spaces created or modified by people, including buildings, parks, transport systems, alternative modes of travel (bicycle tracks, sidewalks, alleys, etc.). The indicator monitored by the EU in this case is the quality of the landscape and the built environment. This will be achieved by rehabilitating parks and green areas in the center of Siret, building a green area on the plot where the educational center for permanent learning is located and making two parking lots one related to the educational center and the second related to the parks that will be rehabilitated.
