The project will mine 2 534 ha of forest and forest land in the Mura-Drava Regional Park and the Kopački Rit Park, and the adverse consequences of mine pollution will be to remediate the restoration of forests and valuable natural habitats, to the restoration and construction of forest firefighting infrastructure and educational infrastructure, as well as the implementation of training courses to increase awareness of mine hazard and biodiversity, while the development of a revitalisation study and the establishment of the monitoring system will contribute to the preservation of good water status and the water of dependent ecosystems in the project area. This project is carried out by Hrvatske šume d.o.o., the Croatian Mine Action Centre, the Croatian Government Office for Mine Action, Croatia and the Croatian Waters Agency and the Croatian Regional Development Agency.
