The project in question involves construction works – expansion of the operating unit (at ul. Komeńskiego) and modernisation of rooms (at. ul. Komenski and Żeromski) for paediatric, paediatric surgery (older and younger children), cardiological rehabilitation and psychiatry. The planned usable area of the operating unit will be 1048.70 m² – 5 operating rooms. The project envisages equipping 5 operating rooms with new medical equipment. The operating block will have the following parameters: A 5-room operating block with patient and staff preparation rooms and a 7-bed awakening room. The operating block will also include patient and personnel preparation rooms, technical, social and communication rooms.The designed operating block will be connected to the main building of the hospital with a 3 level connector with 2 hospital lifts. The total area of modernised branches, operating block and central steriliser will be 9856.74 m². The equipment provides for the purchase of equipment for the operating unit and the central sterilisation plant and the above-mentioned branches. The implementation of the project will be divided into stages: 1. Construction of an operating block and a central sterilisation plant with equipment. 2. Modernisation of paediatric units, paediatric surgery ul. It’s Komenski. 3. Modernisation of psychiatry departments, reh. cardiological ul. Żeromski 4. Equipment of branches. Implementation of the project will be carried out through the Project Team. The project pursues the objective of SZOOP Action 9.1.2, i.e. Improving the quality and effectiveness of health services in the functional urban area of Elbląg by implementing indicators: 1. Number of medicinal entities supported (items) 2. Investment expenditure for the purchase of medical equipment (PLN) 3. Investment expenditure for the construction/modernisation of health infrastructure. 4. Population covered by improved health services.
