This project: Stage II is a component of an integrated project entitled Mazurska ROWER PLOTLA, the object of which is the preparation and launch of a cycling route around the Great Masurian Lakes. MPR_Stage II is located in national roads DK 16, 58, 59 and 63 and regional roads DW 643, 592, 650, 642. The entire loop will consist of 310 km, where Stage I is 293 km (municipal roads, district roads and forest areas) and 17 km of which is the subject of the application Stage II (national and provincial roads). Length is based on technical/design documentation. MPR in stage II is located in the communes of Węgorzewo, Pozezdrze, Ryn, Giżycko, Orzysz, Pisz, Ruciane-Nida, Mrągowo. The project covers the construction of a cycling route and the creation of a tourist trail, uniform marking of the trail, setting up information boards. The construction of separate cycle paths, modernisation of engineering structures (bridges, culverts) and intersections and the construction of a bicycle track are assumed. The eligible expenditure relates to sections of 9.37 km located on provincial roads: DW 643 (Giżycko) 7,130 km – asphalt path wide. 2-2.5 m; DW 592 (Giżycko Municipality) 1,175 km – 2 m wide path, with bituminous pavement with reconstruction of the bridge facility in Sterławki Małe; construction of a separate cycle path and marking: DW 650 (Gm.Wgorzewo) is a bicycle path with concrete cubes odc.1: 0,765 km, c.2: 0,175 km; DW 642 marking the provincial road 0.125 km. The project is consistent with the objectives of Priority Axis 6 – Culture and heritage of the ROP WiM indicated in the SZOOP, as it will result in a built cycling route, enabling Warmia and Mazury to maintain a competitive advantage over other regions based on natural heritage resources.
