The main objective of the project is to increase the reporting for mammographic research carried out by entities contracted with the NFZ as part of the breast cancer prevention programme among women, in particular from “white spots” and sparsely populated areas of the Łódź Voivodeship, and to raise health awareness of the inhabitants of the Łódź Voivodeship. The main objective of the project will be achieved through actions aimed at improving women’s knowledge of breast cancer prevention, mainly through individual education provided by pre-trained POP staff, education carried out at local meetings and events, the provision of educational materials and awareness activities. The actions taken will contribute to the reporting of 1400 women in the target group for the prophylaxis study, with 20 % of which will have a mammography survey for the first time. At least 30 % of people covered by the health programme will live in white spots and sparsely populated areas of the Łódź Voivodeship. The applicant will include a health programme of 1,300 women and 3,000 people will participate in information and education activities, including health-enhancing education. In addition, the project will provide educational support to 120 people who are medical staff of POZ facilities. As a result of the project, 1300 women will have a preventive study. Each participant will be treated individually regardless of gender, religion, disability or belief. The hospital has architectural and information infrastructure adapted to the needs of people with different disabilities and activities are always carried out in accordance with the principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, sustainable development, universal design and equality between women and men. The project will be implemented from 01.01.2020-31.12.2023.
