The main objective of the project is to reduce pollutant emissions from the automotive sector in the MOFZG.The project is in line with the RPOL-2020 Specific Objective Prior Axis.3. The result of the project will be the creation of a bicycle infrastructure, within which a total of 4.23 km of a network of paths with bituminous and concrete pavement, equipped with parking spaces, markings and lighting for comfortable and safe use by users will be built and rebuilt.The impact of the project extends beyond the project implementation area, with its effects will benefit residents of ZG as well as residents of 4 municipalities forming part of MOFZG.Bike paths will be built in places particularly burdensome for cycling. They will act as transport corridors, using this form of non-motorised transport to reduce the use of passenger cars, lower emissions of air pollutants, excessive noise and congestion and improve road safety. Access to transport will increase by facilitating access by bicycle to more places (residential, school, public places) where there have not been bicycle paths so far. The project has a major impact on the inhabitants of the entire Zielona Góra MOF, as the material effects of the project will be made available not only to the residents of the city of ZG, but also to the inhabitants of the municipalities of sąsiednich:CZERWIEŃSKA,Świdnicy,Sulechowa and Zaboru. A significant number of residents of these municipalities reach the ZG every day to work or school, to public, health and cultural institutions. The project aims to create a safe and functional network of cycle paths, which constitute an alternative connection for car transport, for residents of MOF ZG.
