The subject of the mLUMEN project (hereinafter: Project) is created within the framework of ongoing works in the National Library (hereinafter: BN) the LUMEN e-service provided using the mobile application. The task of the LUMEN mobile application will be to aggregate selected public sector information (hereinafter: ISP) (resources of BN and Polish libraries of various types, including the digital library polona.pl via the e-service “Integrated search engine OMNIS” and selected resources of other public institutions via the.gov.pl portal) and content from the blogosphere (scientific, publicistic and cultural blogs), classifying them in an orderly and coherent information and search language (Descriptors BN hereafter: DBN) and making them available to users. An integral part of the Project is also the creation of a separate e-descriptor service provided by the API (application development interface), whose task will be to automatically transmit keywords to any text in Polish, and the WordPress plugin (popular in the blogosphere content management system) LUMEN-WP, allowing the use of the e-descriptor service to any user of this system. The LUMEN-WP plugin will allow you to automatically tagged your DBN blog post with a single click and – in addition – to publish its metadata in the LUMEN mobile application. The main view of the LUMEN mobile application will be the cross between the Facebook “wall” and the Twitter “feed”, where the user will be able to see what content appeared on his subscribed “themes” (which at the same time constitute DBN) or search for information about a new topic. In addition, he will be able to check in the “On-time” section on which the most scientific articles, public data sets or blog posts are currently published.
