As part of the modernisation of the heating plant in Orzysz, a new biomass boiler room will be built with installed 2 water boilers fired with wood chips with a rated capacity of 5 MW each, together with a system for transporting biomass and ashing the boiler with the necessary accompanying infrastructure and land management. In addition, a biomass warehouse with an area of approx. 500 m² and a kiln biomass warehouse with mobile floor area of approx. 120 m². The project also involves adapting the technology of the existing boiler room to cooperation with the planned heating plant, including inter alia the combination of existing and designed heat source, adaptation of pumping station, safety system, stabilisation and replenishment. The existing district heating system Orzysza at the end of the project will meet the requirement of an efficient district heating system referred to in Article 2(point). 41 and 42 of Directive 2012/27/EU.
