SA 42799(2015/X) The subject of the project will be the implementation of the results of research carried out in our R & D department and at the request of WITPOL concerning the issue of reducing the content of oatmeal ochratoxin during the production of extruded breakfast products based on oat flour. As a result of the research work commissioned, a technology (manufacturing method) has been developed as a process innovation on a European scale, which will be implemented into our company’s operations and will enable the offer to be expanded to include a line of breakfast extruded products with reduced concentration of ochratoxin type A (product innovation), i.e. a substance harmful to human health with carcinogenic, mutagenic, teratogenic and disrupting immune processes. The implementation will be based on patent application No P.431417. Its innovative character is confirmed by the state of the art report, which is an official assessment of the chances of obtaining a patent. The subject of innovation is a significant improvement in the production of extruded breakfast products, either in the form of finished products (i.e. extruded, spatial milk crisps) or as an intermediate/add to granola or muesli. The scope of the project has been divided into 3 main tasks. As part of task 1, we will undertake actions aimed at establishing and providing a guarantee for the proper performance of the obligations arising from the co-financing agreement, on which the payment of the grant in the form of advances is subject. As part of task No. 2, we will purchase construction services in order to build a production building with the necessary accompanying infrastructure to organise the production of extruded breakfast products. In task 3 we will purchase the technological line necessary to start production. All tasks will begin in parallel. Activity 1 will last 1 month until 31.03.2020. Tasks 2 and 3 will last 13 months until 31.03.2021.
