Feasibility Study SIA, Collaboration for Innovative Business Development

With the SIA feasibility study, the High Coast Industrial Group (HKIG) wants to investigate the conditions for an implementation project focusing on process and organisational innovation for technology and industrial companies in the region. In the feasibility study, both the project manager and the companies themselves will conduct investigative work on the potential of an implementation project. This will result in the feasibility study finding opportunities for collaboration, establishing concrete goals, calculating costs, etc. Through the ongoing project SIKT, the project owner HKIG has identified specific challenges for SMEs to improve their business and production methods. A world of rapid changes places great demands on companies to improve their business and production methods. Innovation, unlike ideas and inventions (inventions), is not only about the development of innovative solutions but also involves the development of practical implementation. Therefore, in practice it is much more important to have good innovation skills than just the ability to produce innovative solutions. HKIG therefore wants to conduct a feasibility study to investigate the conditions for an implementation project to strengthen the business and production methods of regional industrial enterprises. The feasibility study shall lay a basis for an application for support for such an implementation project. In the feasibility study, both HKIG and participating companies conduct investigation work. The companies conduct both independent investigative work and participate in joint workshops arranged by HKIG. HKIG’s main project manager runs and coordinates the work and compiles the results of the feasibility study. The results of the feasibility study are presented to HKIG’s Board of Directors for decisions on application for support for implementation projects.
