There are already a number of support to companies affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, but many of the companies need help to be guided to the support form that can help them out of the crisis or alleviate its effects. Several of the county’s small and medium-sized companies will also need to implement a transition of their operations to survive. Through enhanced work through a county-wide project with various initiatives for the county’s companies, increased opportunities are created to reduce ongoing, and in the longer term, expected negative effects of covid-19. Overall objectives: More companies in Dalarna with strengthened conversion capacity to meet the consequences of the COVID-19 eruption. Project objectives: Through a proactive and process-oriented way of working, by the innovation ecosystem, business promotions and municipal business offices, SMEs provide support and tools to survive the negative effects of the Covid-19 outbreak. Sub-target 1: Needs analysis and faster path to appropriate support for adaptation and transition through enhanced business advice, partly through outreach activities, to vulnerable companies and industries by raising awareness of them and piloting them in the regional and national support system. Sub-target 2: Strengthened advice in connection with new entrepreneurship as a consequence of notice and lay-offs and to take advantage of the creativity born out of crisis. Sub-target 3: Enhanced capacity for innovation and transition among the county’s companies. Sub-target 4: In-depth analysis of business development and innovation with a particular focus on vulnerability. Sub-target 5: More companies that find local and regional suppliers and customers as well as increased cooperation that provide new products and services. Sub-target 6: More companies that find new bones for the business and/or customer groups and/or markets for reduced risk in the business. Primary target group: Small and medium-sized companies in Dalarna. The target group is reached through collaboration partners and other actors in the innovation ecosystem. Secondary target group: Actors in the innovation ecosystem and business promoters as well as municipal business offices or equivalent, who together will seek and offer companies support and expertise to increase the companies’ ability to survive and/or transition. Expected results at project completion – More companies that survive and can handle the negative effects of the Covid-19 outbreak – Strengthened innovation and transition capability among companies in Dalarna through advice, analyses, skills development and innovation processes. — Companies have strengthened their capacity and implemented or started their transition to a more sustainable business – A jointly developed methodology of actors in the innovation ecosystem, business promoters and business offices to manage and respond to the needs of companies for support in major crises. — Deepened and more systematic knowledge of business development and innovation with a particular focus on vulnerability. This will strengthen our capacity to manage the structural transformation accelerated with the covid-19 crisis in both the short, medium and long term, but also future crises. — More companies that strengthened their transition ability through increased knowledge about the need for skills development needed for their own personnel in the short and long term Expected long-term effects – More companies have found and can use the support system in relevant parts regardless of crisis. “SMEs have strengthened their capacity for innovation and transition through close cooperation developed between actors in the innovation ecosystem, business promotions and municipal business offices or similar. — A more robust and sustainable business with more crisis preparedness by companies developing more sustainable businesses. “We have also gained a more modern business sector based on the transitions and processes that have begun.
